Social and competitive sports are how a large portion of South Australian children and young people choose to spend their free time. It is vital that sporting clubs and organisations provide inclusive and child-friendly environments to ensure fair and equitable participation among all children and young people.
After surveying children and young people, the Commissioner assembled the answers of over 1500 kids about what what they like about sport and they challenges they face in finding and getting involved in playing sport.
Sporting clubs and organisations can use this guide to identify and resolve any issues experienced by members of the club to provide welcoming and child friendly environments.
