The Commissioner for Children and Young People carries out research to assist in ensuring that the State, as part of the Commonwealth, satisfies its international obligations in relation to the rights of children and young people. From time to time the Commissioner also contributes to joint reports undertaken with other Advocates, Commissioners and Guardians throughout Australia.
